- Stable, regulated power supply, great for electronics

This is an excellent regulated power supply.
It has a standard Europlug and fits securely into Swiss outlets.
Externally, it is very simple: plug it in and a small green LED lights up. The adapter seems well-constructed.
Output voltage is smooth (the datasheet says max ripple is 50mV peak-to-peak) and well-regulated: I measure no high-frequency components with output currents between 0mA to 800mA on my oscilloscope, suggesting that voltage regulation is good.
Please note that the no-load voltage is higher (5.2V +/- 5%) than the voltage under load (5V +/- 5%). This means the no-load voltage can be up to 5.46V and still be within spec -- keep this in mind when powering low-current circuits.
The 5.5/2.1mm plug fits most common electronics like the Arduino. (Posted on 23/06/2014)
